| ER Desktop Theme for Microsoft Plus! |
| version 1.0 |
*----------------------------------------*
Copyright ⌐ 1996 by Srdan Kobsa alias Hamlet (skobsa@jagor.srce.hr)
and Ivan Rajter alias JiM (irajter@jagor.srce.hr)
This desktop theme was based on the Emergency Room TV series (NBC).
The wallpaper bitmap and the sounds were taken from few ER sites on
the Internet and then edited. We've made icons and most of the cursors
ourselves. We have also made logo.sys, logow.sys and logos.sys
startup/shutdown screens.
INSTALLATION:
-------------
1. The theme itself
---
NOTE: You must have Microsoft Plus! properly installed.
This is a high (24-bit) color theme
Please unzip "ER Theme.zip" file in the directory where your desktop
themes are located
( the most common directory is: C:\PROGRAM FILES\PLUS!\THEMES\ )
Don't make any extra directories. This is important because the path
is specified in the theme file. Go to the Control Panel and double
click on the "Desktop Themes" icon. Select the "ER Theme (high color)"
and press OK. The wallpaper, sounds, icons and cursors should now be
changed. If that is so, you have successfuly installed the ER theme.
2. Startup/shutdown screens
---
NOTE: Don't forget to make backup copies of these files:
1. C:\logo.sys --> This is the startup screen
2. C:\WINDOWS\logow.sys --> This is the "Wait while your comp..." screen
3. C:\WINDOWS\logos.sys --> This is the "It's now safe to turn off..." screen
After you've done backup copies of the files above, copy the file logo.sys
from the ER Theme directory to C:\ .Then copy the files logow.sys and
logos.sys from the ER Theme directory to the C:\WINDOWS dir.
Restart the computer.
That's about it...
We wish you many pleasant moments with the ER Theme... :-)
Really.., we hope that you're gonna like it. Please let us know what
you think about the ER desktop theme.
